• 1 PM: Neil Giarratana of Lucidus will present Version Control for Mere Mortals
  Whether you work with a team of developers or are a one person show, version control can save (and simplify) your life. Work collaboratively on the same files without killing other developer's changes. Escape the quagmire of "Save As..." backups of your files. In this presentation, Neil Giarratana will reveal how Lucidus developers use version control software to work collaboratively on projects. You'll learn step-by-step:
  
  * How to install version control software on your desktop
  * Where to find (free or inexpensive) online services you can use to store the versions for you
  * How to use version control in your development software like Dreamweaver, Eclipse, etc. and even from your Windows Explorer or Mac Finder
  * Best practices for organizing your files
  
  Neil Giarratana is President & CTO of Lucidus Corporation, a leading internet application development & hosting company based in Keene, New Hampshire. Giarratana serves on the boards of MEDC, the Greater Keene Chamber of Commerce, the Keene Young Professionals Network and was named by BusinessNH Magazine as one of the "25 Leaders for the Future." He was a founder of the New England Adobe User Group and speaks regularly at conferences throughout North America.
  
  Prior to founding Lucidus, Neil led an award winning consulting team for Lockheed Martin that specialized in building prototype information portals for the CIA and other intelligence organizations.
  
  He and his wife are now "living the dream" of raising their two boys in the quintessential New England town of Keene, New Hampshire.
