Exploring Illustrator CS3

Thomson Delmar Learning

By Annese Hartman and Ken Sholar

"Exploring Illustrator CS3" is a well thought-out and very wise book for learning design as well as the adobe program "Illustrator". The publisher is Thomson Delmar Learning and co-authored by Annese Hartman and Ken Sholar.

The book is built on good design and how to use the tool effectively. Illustrator is the standard for line based graphic design, but now we can use 3D grids templates for pamphlets and multipage formats. The different types of fills give you highlights and 3D effects with as very user friendly interface too.

There are many timesaving aspects to the tools which you can customize to your needs. The file types for Web and print have very helpful compretion and transparence settings. I find it useful with Illustration 5 as well as with 3 which it was designed for.
